- Who is Slim? -

Michael A. Duncan aka “Slim” was born Jun 8, 1979 [parents Susan and Daniel Duncan].

From a very young age, Slim showed great potential in athletics and spent almost every waking moment playing sports.

In 1991, Slim was part of the Newark American Little League team that was ONE game away from playing in the Little League World Series [local UD grad and MLB player Kevin Mench was also on that team]. Slim went on to play baseball for Glasgow High and then for Del Tech Georgetown campus in college.

In 1996, Slim was in a very serious motorcycle accident that changed the course of his life. While he was able to recover physically to play sports, he required over 30 surgeries to repair his body during the rest of his life.

May 26, 2000, Slim and his girlfriend gave birth to their daughter, Alexis “Lexi” Duncan. Lexi was the love of Slim’s life, and he would do anything for her.

Sadly, February 8, 2010 Slim suddenly passed away leaving behind his precious daughter at the age of 10. It was from this horrific event that the Slim’s Chance Foundation was born.

While Lexi was fortunate to be born into a family that is financially able to ensure her future wasn’t limited. Many children are not so fortunate. It is with that purpose in mind that a foundation was created to help children’s families when a parent passes away.

Stop Letting Innocence Miss-out

So, who is Slim? Slim is my brother.
